Sarah Miller Obituary

Sister Sarah Elizabeth Miller peacefully departed this life on Saturday, August 6, 2022. She was born on September 13, 1946 to the late Roy Miller and the late Lillian M. Cooper in Spartanburg, South Carolina. She was preceded in death by a son, Marc Rashawn Taylor; brothers, Larry Miller, Donald Miller, and Ronald Miller; and a sister, Annette Miller. She moved with her family to New Jersey at a young age and graduated in 1964 from Essex County Vocational and Technical High School, Newark, NJ. She was employed for 36 years as a Human Services Coordinator at Woodbridge Developmental Center. She was an active member of Deliverance Evangelist Center, Newark, NJ under Apostle Ralph Nicholson. After retiring, Sarah returned to South Carolina and united with Mount Moriah Baptist Church, Spartanburg, SC, where she was active in the September Birthday Club, Senior Missionary Ministry, Food Pantry & Clothes Closet Ministries. She was an active member of the Red Hatters, and Sisters and Brothers in Motion. She was a world traveler and seamstress; she also loved to bake, cook, and dance. She leaves to cherish loving memories, a son, Kenneth B. Huntley; a sister, Lillian Janice Miller; a grandson, Kenneth Bernard Taylor; a great-aunt; Mary Jeter; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
