Ronnie Brown, Sr. was born August 7, 1962, in Spartanburg, SC, to Hosea Johnson and the late Irene Brown. He was educated in the Spartanburg County schools and a graduate of Dorman High School class of 1981. He retired from the Landrum Middle School after many years of service.
Ronnie was extremely talkative and was also comedic. He was noted as being the life of the and party and enjoyed listing to music of all kinds. His favorite NFL team was the Dallas Cowboys. He was a member of the Mt. Calvary Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death, along with his mother, by his brother, Justin White and grandmother, Maggie Brown.
He leaves loving memories to his loving wife, Sandra Brown of the home; father, Hosea Johnson of Spartanburg, SC; sons, Reginald Hill and Ronnie Brown, Jr. both of Spartanburg, SC; daughters, Angela Hill, Cassandra Brown, and Valisha Brown all of Spartanburg, SC; sister, Shirlene Woody of Spartanburg, SC; great-aunt, Janice Byrd; aunts, Sally Tanner and Mattie M. (John) Griffin; uncles, Arthur Brown and Raymond Johnson; grandchildren, Mark Teamer, Jadan McKoy, Reginald Hill, Jr., Dashawn Hill, Camyria Brown, Zion Dudley, Ronnie Brown, III., and Yuri Brown; a great-grandchild, Melanie Teamer; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
On the afternoon of Thursday, April 18, 2024, Ronnie transitioned peacefully at the Spartanburg Medical Center. His comedic spirit will be sorely missed.
