Reginald A. Davis was born, on August 7, 1954, to the late Helen and James C. Davis, in Walterboro, SC. Reggie, affectionately known as “Tony”, graduated from Wagner High School. Reginald enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1974 and served our country for 14 1/2 years.
In 1994, Reggie met his wife Rashanda, in Sacramento, CA. Reggie and Rashanda married in 1996. From their union three children were born, Chasynie, Kimisha and Maurice. Reggie and Rashanda relocated to Charlotte, NC and while living there, became foster parents to many and bonus parents to Katie Queen, Cardan Norris and Mike Trapp.
Reggie has driven for various trucking companies for over 26 years and in 2023 Reggie retired from Palmetto Transportation of Greenville, SC. Reggie has driven 2.7 million certified miles, during his truck driving career. Reggie spent his spare time building his 1:24 scale model cars. He loved talking trash about sports and was a dedicated Raiders football team fan.
He is survived by his wife, Rashanda Davis; daughters, Chasynie (Linfred) Lewers and Kimisha Lankford; bonus daughter, Nicole (Will) Rogers; son, Maurice Proctor; sisters, Jacqueline Bennett, Shaunda Davis, Jaime (Greg) Davis; bonus sister, Debbie Cashwell; brother-in-law, Derrick Richardson; mother-in-law, Sharon Doss; grandchildren, Kephland (Ranetta) Davis, Kenia Henton, Raushawn Jackson II, Niyah Norman, Willie Rogers III, Imani Proctor, Giselle Lewers, Jaylah Easter, Hendryx Holliday, Addison Lewers, and Delilah Rivero-Queen; great-grandchildren, Janaya Davis and Kayden Davis; and a host of other relatives that loved him.
Reggie was predeceased by his mother, Helen Davis; father, James C. Davis; brothers, Stanley Davis, Sterling Davis, and Maurice Davis; son, Jonathan Davis.
On the evening of November 4th, 2023, Reginald A. Davis, at the age of 68, transitioned after battling prostate cancer.
