Ms. Rachel Verlinda Prince Anderson was born on June 30, 1954, in Spartanburg, SC to the late Henry Mack Williams and the late Fairy Sue Prince. She was educated in the Spartanburg County school district and went on to receive an associate degree from Rutledge College in Spartanburg, SC. Rachel enjoyed working in puzzle books, painting, working out, especially water aerobics, and working in her flower beds. Her favorite color was blue, and she had an affinity for shoes and jewelry. Rachel was known for being a phenomenal baker and her kind and gentle spirit. She had an uncanny love for her family and her generosity was unmatched.
Rachel leaves to cherish fond and loving memories to her son, Devin Moultrie of Spartanburg, SC; daughters, Tameka Moultrie of Spartanburg, SC, Raicynda Mobley of Boiling Springs, SC, Shayla Moultrie of Wellford, SC, and Afra Moultrie of Spartanburg, SC; grandchildren Nykia Henderson, Tamena Moultrie, Inde Moultrie, Devin Miller, Montese Boozer, Mequette Moultrie, Amun Jackson, Devana Moultrie, Caleb Mobley, Staniya Miller, Jermarrius Whiteside, Greyson Jackson, Jermariya Whiteside, Rayne Foster, and Baby Moultrie; sisters, Princie Campbell of Baltimore, MD, and Mary (Thomas) Smith of Las Vegas, NV; brother, Henry Calvin Prince of Spartanburg, SC; cherished nephew, Raymond Thompson of Spartanburg, SC; twelve great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
She was predeceased, along with her parents, by a son-in-law, Travis Mobley, and aunts, Lillie Myles, and Maggie Lee Littlejohn.
On the morning of Tuesday, June 28, 2022, a beautiful life came to a close after a heroic fight. Rachel’s life, love, and legacy will forever be a testament in the hearts of her loved ones. We give thanks for a life well lived.
