Mable Etheline Twitty transitioned on Sunday, November 19, 2023, at her home. She was born on May 1, 1935, in Spartanburg, South Carolina.
Mable’s legacy is of love, giving and strength. She dedicated her life to her family and instilled in everyone love, respect, and kindness. Her kind heart and unwavering support touched the lives of so many. She fought tirelessly for her loved ones and always gave her best. Now, it is time for her to rest knowing that her love will forever be cherished in our hearts.
Mable was preceded in transitioning to the afterlife by her loving mother, Mary C. Twitty; father, John Copeland; brother, Boyce Copeland; and brother and sister-in-law, John Wesley (Thelma) Twitty.
She is survived by her sister, Virginia T. Miller and brother, Bobby (Belinder) Twitty, along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members.
Mable, leaves to cherish loving and fond memories: her daughters, Joyce T. Webster, Deborah L. Twitty and Brenda S. Twitty, as well as her cherished grandchildren, Onevious (Michael) Huniecutt, Jill A. (Israel) Robinson, Sean K. (Shannon) Twitty & Dorian J. Webster. Also, an extremely proud great-grandmother to Bre, Josh, Khari, Nia, Elijah, Elise and Grace; and great-great-grandmother to Leila, Greyson and Carter.
At an early age she joined Gaffney Chapel Church, then later moved to Mt. Vernon, New York where she was a faithful member at Unity Baptist Tabernacle located at 101 South 2nd Avenue. Upon returning home to South Carolina in 2001, she immediately returned to her childhood church, Friends In Christ UMC, Chesnee, South Carolina, previously named Gaffney Chapel Church.
Mable will always be remembered for her unwavering love, kindness and resilience. Her legacy will live through her family and all of those whose lives she touched.
