Jones Robert Smith

Mr. Jones Robert Smith was born on January 12, 1952, to the late Herbert C. Smith and the late Margret Elizabeth Jackson Smith, in Spartanburg, SC. He was educated in the Spartanburg County Schools and was a 1970 graduate of Lincoln High School. He retired after a 40 year career as a facility technician at Bellsouth.

Mr. Jones was a kindhearted, giving person, he enjoyed fishing and riding his motorcycle. He was a talented landscaper and Koi Pond designer. He enjoyed watching his favorite NFL team, the New Orleans Saints, play football.  

He was preceded in death, along with his parents, by his sister, Marian Hart; brother, William Jackson; and grandson, Damajai Smith.

Mr. Jones leaves to cherish his love and legacy to his wife, Estelle Smith; daughter, Ternesha Smith (Octavious Smith) of Simpsonville, SC; son, Jerroid Smith of Spartanburg, SC; sisters, Regretta Fuller of Roebuck, SC, Rosetta Nesbitt and Mary Frances Mallory both of Spartanburg, SC and Betty Patterson of Ashville, NC; brothers, Herbert C. (Mary) Smith, Jr. of Roebuck, SC, Billy Joe (Barbara) Smith of Spartanburg, SC and Kevin (Wanda B.) Smith Columbia, SC; grandchildren, Austin McDowell, Jenae Smith, Jaylen Smith, and D’Mya Smith; a great grandchild on the way; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

 On Monday, April 3, 2023, Mr. Jones Robert Smith entered final rest while surrounded by his loving family.
