James Anderson was born, on January 10, 1991, to Linda Alexander and the late Miguel Morales in Spartanburg, SC. He was educated in the Spartanburg County District 3 schools and a graduate of Gettys D. Broom High School. While in high school, James played football. He continued his education at Wingate University and transferred to USC-Upstate where he received a bachelor’s degree in education. He later received a master’s degree in education from USC-Upstate.
James was a teacher and coach at Carver Middle School for serval years.
James absolutely loved playing and coaching football. He enjoyed dining out and was very generous. James was noted as being a very loving and kind spirit. His favorite NFL team was the Pittsburgh Steelers and his favorite color was red.
He was preceded in death by his father, Miguel Morales and grandfather, James Anderson.
He leaves his love and legacy to his loving mother, Linda (Bobby) Alexander of Cowpens, SC; brother, Brian Doyley of the Philippines; sisters, Tamara Lyles of Cowpens, SC and Latrina Lyles of Spartanburg, SC; special grandmother, Annie Anderson; aunt, Brenda Williams; a host of other aunts, uncle, other relatives and friends.
On the morning of Sunday, August 13, 2023, James Anderson transitioned at the Spartanburg Medical Center. His philanthropic spirit will sorely be missed.
