Freddie Alverson was born on February 29, 1956, in Inman, SC to the late Violet Davis Sanders and the late Robert Lee Alverson, Jr. He attended Carver High School.
Freddie enjoyed “hanging out” with his friends and fishing. He was a Carolina Panthers football fan and enjoyed watching action movies. He was most known as being a comedian and loved to crack jokes. Although silly, he was a very kind and helpful person and would give anyone a helping hand.
He was proceded in death, along with his parents, by his wife, Dometrea Alverson; siblings, Barbara Ann Alverson, James Alverson, Joe Alverson, and William Alverson.
He leaves to cherish his fond and loving memories to his children, Kenyan Alverson, Eric Alverson, and Tamara Gee all of Spartanburg, SC; sister, Julia Brewton of Spartanburg, SC; brothers, Robert Lee (Audrey) Alverson of Spartanburg, SC, Jerry (Sallie) Alverson of Wellford, SC and Michael (Edith) Alverson of Long Beach, CA; grandchildren, Hunter Clowney and Cierra Clowney both of Spartanburg, SC; special nephew, Anthony Alverson; special cousin, Michael Moore; sister-in-law, Geraldine Kelly; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
On the morning of Tuesday, May 23, 2023, Freddie transitioned at his home. His comedic and helpful spirit will be missed greatly by all who loved and knew him.
