Elder Lewis Davis Thomas is a native of Woodruff, SC. Born to Mary Bell Thomas and Fletcher Wofford, he was educated in Woodruff schools but left early to support his family. He enlisted in the US Army and served faithfully as a Private until his honorable discharge.
After a long career as a construction foreman and a landscaper, he retired to start another career in manufacturing.
After finding Christ, he served faithfully as a deacon for decades before being elected to the office of Minister, under Apostle Rookard’s leadership.
He was preceded in death by both parents; his sisters, Emma Rice, Helen Thomas, and Bertha Jones; and his brother, Jerry Thomas.
He is survived by his loving wife and eternal companion, Evangelist Jacqueline Thomas; his brothers, Fred (Josephine) Thomas, Johnny Thomas and Donald Jones; his children Joslyn Michelle (Chris) Jacobs, Brandon (Veronica) Pearson, Minister Marquise (Aneika) Pearson, Xavier (Josué) Pearson, Davis (Grace) Thomas and Princess (Tramaine) Smith; his grandsons, Conor (Audrey) O’Shields, Ty’varrius Pearson, Israel (Micah) Bowens, Ebony Pearson, Rodriqua Briggs, Ericka Briggs, Ja’Leeza Collier, Janyah Pearson, Alexander Pearson, Sophie Thomas, Kyleen Thomas, Hunter Wyatt, Ian Wyatt, TJ (E. Tramaine, Jr.) Smith, Leilani Smith, Bennie Floyd, Cedric Moss, Anari Evans and Bella Pearson; great-grandson, Kayden Strother and great granddaughter, Minerva Wolfe; and a host of other relatives and friends.
