Apostle Darlene Hunter Fant was born to the late Jerome
Hunter and the late Anna Delgado, in Manhattan, NY, on
May 25, 1953. She was educated in New York and earned
a master’s degree in education. She went on to have a
career in education. Apostle Darlene retired and settled
in Spartanburg, SC. It was in 2014 that she founded the
Devine Destiney International Prayer Alliance. Her
enjoyments included reading books, singing, and writing
music. She loved all genres of music, bird watching and
feeding; the blue jay was her favorite as blue was one of
her favorite colors, along with the color gold. Apostle
Darlene was a born-again believer, and she loved the
Lord greatly, as well as people, and she would give her
very last to anyone in need.
Left to cherish Apostle Darlene’s memories are her three
daughters, Joi Fant of Spartanburg, SC, Chadria Fant and
Hope Fant both of Newark, NJ; two sons, Emmauel Fant
of Spartanburg, SC and Joshua Fant of Newark, NJ; two
sisters, Regina (Michael) Hunter and Rose Joyner both of
NY; seven grandchildren; a host of other family and
friends.
Along with her parents and grandparents, Apostle
Darlene was preceded in death by a son, Caleb Fant.
On Thursday, September 8, 2022, Apostle Darlene
Hunter Fant ascended beyond the skies of blue into
heaven and traded her cross for her crown of gold.
