Cotha Jerome Nesbitt

Cotha Jerome Nesbitt was born on August 20, 1970, to Ernestine Reid Walker and the late Cotha Lee Nesbitt, in Spartanburg, SC. He was educated in the Spartanburg County Schools.

Cotha’s favorite football team was the Washington Commanders and his favorite colors were burgundy and gold. He enjoyed watching Judge Judy and Family Feud. Cotha also loved old school R&B, especially R Kelly. He was a member of New Hope Christian Church. Cotha had a very loving and giving heart. He loved his family and friends immensely and his mother was his best friend.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Timmy Jermain Nesbitt.

He leaves to cherish his fond and loving memories to his mother, Ernestine (Robert) Walker of the home; daughter,  Jenita Anderson of Spartanburg, SC; sons,  Brennan Jerome Nesbitt of Gaffney, SC, Christopher Nesbitt of Maine, and Demeress Chapman of Chesnee, SC; sisters, Sharon Westley and Valerie (Anthony) Hill both of Spartanburg, SC; brother, Anthony Nesbitt of Spartanburg, SC; aunts, Vernadine Wray, Spice (Billy) Holbert, and Nanleen Williams all of Spartanburg, SC; uncles, David (Teresa) Nesbitt and Arthur Nesbitt both of Spartanburg, SC; seven grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other friends.

On the morning of Monday, April 10, 2023, Cotha transitioned at the Spartanburg Medical Center. His life will always be treasured by those who knew him.
