Burt Lemont Moore

Mr. Burt Lemont Moore, Jr. was born, on November 26, 1988, to Sylvia Hines Jones and the late Bert Moore, in Spartanburg, SC. He attended schools in Spartanburg County and was employed as a truck driver for Landair Transport, Inc. He was an avid motorcycle rider and spent a lot of time riding with an independent bike rider’s association. He could be found anytime adding features to his bike, which made it stand out from all others. He also enjoyed singing, rapping, creating beats and drawing. His favorite colors were black and red.

Left to cherish fond and loving memories are his mother, Sylvia Hines Jones of Boiling Springs, SC; daughter, Alaysia Moore of Forest City, NC; sons, Juelz Moore and Izaiah Moore of Forest City, NC; sisters, Tamara Hines of North Georgia, Tiara Jeffries (Keith Williams) of Duncan, SC, Ty’Nesha Jeffries of Spartanburg, SC and Ky’Esha Jones of Boiling Springs, SC; brothers, Montrell Jones of Spartanburg, SC and Nate Whiteside of Ellenboro, NC; step-brother, Demontez Jones of Charlotte, NC; grandparents, Brenda Hines of Brooklyn, NY, Clyde Jackson of Green Creek, NC and Annie Ruth Smith of Mill Springs, NC; aunts, Deanna Hines of Brooklyn, NY, Keanna Hines of Brooklyn, NY, and Ada Moore of Mooresboro, NC; uncles, Michael (Disa) Moore of Charlotte, NC, Thomas Moore of Mill Springs, NC and Tony Williams of Brooklyn, NY; great-great aunt, Joanne Meeks (John Yorke) of Tennessee; great-great uncle, Herbert Lee Hines of Avon Park, FL; a special friend, Diana Mendoza and her children of Spartanburg, SC; and a host of cousins and friends. 

He was predeceased, along with his father, by step-father, Ronald Jones, grandfather, Bert Moore, and great-great-aunt, Betty Jean Brown.

Mr. Burt Lemont Moore, Jr. was called to eternal rest on Friday, November 4, 2022. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him, but his family knows his spirit will always be with them. He loved his family and with the help of the Lord, he will continue to protect them.
