Arillie Shands Wells was born on July 23, 1944, to the late Wilson Shands and the late Lois Lyles Shands in Spartanburg, SC. She was a graduate of Lincoln High School of Fairforest, SC, and also obtained an Associate Degree from Cecil’s Business College of Spartanburg, SC. Arillie was self-employed as a Cosmetologist for many years. She loved flowers and enjoyed working in her flower gardens. Arillie, a prophetess in her own right, loved the Lord, her family, and her friends dearly. She was known to be a prayer warrior, as many people called upon her as a prayer partner. Arillie never met a stranger and she loved to cook and can fruits and vegetables.
Arillie leaves to cherish fond and loving memories to a daughter, Priscilla Means of Spartanburg, SC; sisters, Doris Fuller, Cassie Campbell, and Lessie (William) Ross all of Spartanburg, SC; brothers, Dogan (Rosa) Shands, Ellis Shands, and Wayne (Reba) Shands all of Spartanburg, SC; a grandson, Pierce Means of Spartanburg, SC; an aunt, Fannie Rogers of Spartanburg, SC; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
She was predeceased, along with her parents, by a son, Sebastian Wells; brothers, John L. Shands, R. P. Shands, Jack Pearson, and Ray Wallace Shands; and brothers-in-law, William Campbell and J.C. Fuller.
On Thursday morning, May 12, 2022, Arillie folded her earthly tent and is now resting with the savior. A life well lived and a journey completed.
