Willie Earl Shelton, Jr., affectionately known as "Blue", was born on January 23, 1959, to the late Betty D. Evans, in Spartanburg, SC. He was educated in Spartanburg County schools and was a 1977 graduate of Dorman High School. Willie worked for many years at the Spartanburg Housing Authority and Lear Corporation.

Willie had a natural comedic and fun personality. He was an outstanding cook specializing in grilling and smoking meat. Willie was a "workaholic" and his soul purpose was to take care of those whom he loved. He loved his grandchildren and they were the apples of his eye. He enjoyed spending quality time with them. His favorite NFL team was the Oakland Raiders.

He was preceded in death, along with his parents, by special cousin, Reginald Hill.

Willie leaves to cherish his fond and loving memories to his daughter, Jasmine (Jammar) Stroble of Roebuck, SC; grandchildren, Kwame Geter of Spartanburg, SC, Jayden Stroble of Roebuck, SC, and Angie Geter of Spartanburg, SC; aunt, Frances Hill of Spartanburg, SC; special friend, Patricia Geter; and a host of other relatives and friends

On Monday, December 30, 2024, Willie transitioned peacefully at his home. He will be sorely missed by his family and friends.
