His Life's Journey

Willie James Bivings, affectionately known as "Puddin", was born on April 2, 1950, to the late Odell Bivings and the late Annie Laura Means Bivings, in Spartanburg, SC. He was educated in the Spartanburg County School system.

Willie was a hard-working individual. His greatest joy was being able to provide for his family. He loved drinking Pepsi and was extremely strong willed. He was noted for being hands on and was a mover and shaker. Overall, he had a pleasant disposition and was a people person. In his spare time, he enjoyed dining at eateries in the union area with his brother.

He was preceded in death, along with his parents, by brothers, John Wesley Bivings, Boyce Lee Bivings, and Robert Douglas Bivings.

His memories will be treasured and honored by children, , Joy Avery of Rock Hill, SC, Tyson Green of Spartanburg, SC, Latasha (Curtis) Nash of Moore, SC and Odell Bivings of Union, SC; brothers, Jessie Lewis Bivings of Spartanburg, SC, and Stanley (Jackie) Bivings of College Park, GA; sister, Margie Bivings Williams of Spartanburg, SC; aunts, Joanne Jones, Georgia Bivings, and Josephine Means all of Spartanburg, SC; uncle, Larry Means of Spartanburg, SC; grandchildren, Jordan Avery, Carter Nash, Cameron Green, Christopher Green, and Cierra Green; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

On the afternoon of Friday February 9, 2023, Willie transitioned at Lake Emory Acute Care. His loving spirit will live on in the hearts and minds of his family and friends.
