Myers, Jr.
July 19, 1951 – September 1, 2024
William Chambers Myers, Jr., affectionately known as "Dub", was born on July 19, 1951, in Columbia, SC to the late William Chambers Myers, Sr. and Marcellene Leslie Myers. He graduated from Dixie High School and continued his education at Erskine College earning a bachelor's degree. He then went on to receive his Doctor of pharmacy from the University of South Carolina School of Medicine.
William enjoyed all things outdoors including hunting, fishing, camping and hiking. In his spare time, he enjoyed watching football and basketball. He was a huge University of Georgia Football fan. William was a pharmacist in Pacolet, SC at the Pacolet Mills Pharmacy for over thirty years. William's favorite color was red.
He was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Spartanburg for many years.
He was preceded in death, along with his father, by a sister, Mellisa Myers and a grandson, Henry Myers.
Left to Cherish his loving memories are sons, Williams B. (Lisa) Myers of Chesnee, SC, and Nicholas Myers of Spartanburg, SC; daughter, Kathryn Myers of Spartanburg, SC; sisters, Leisa Myers and Laurie (Bryan) Cordell both of Greenwood, SC; grandchildren, Tucker Myers and Leslie Myers; former wife, Laura Myers; best friends, Boyd Crisp, Erve Finkbeiner, Betts Ellis, and John Moore; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
On Saturday, September 1, 2024, William transitioned at the Spartanburg Medical Center. His life and legacy will be treasured by all who loved and knew him.
