Mr. Ulysses Coleman, a native of McCormick, SC, later moved to Inman, SC. He was born on October 12, 1955, to the late Robert Coleman and Luella Bryant Coleman. Ulysses had a deep love for his family and was always ready to help them in times of need.
An amateur carpenter, Ulysses enjoyed working on and building various projects. In his free time, he loved to fish and was a fan of watching Gunsmoke and Westerns on television. He had a special fondness for the color red. For many years, he worked in construction as a demolition contractor.
Ulysses was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings: Nell Coleman, Sallie May Coleman, Sarah Jane Coleman, Bertha Ryan Bryant, Maggie Walker, and his brother Johnell Coleman.
He is survived by his loving wife, Frances Coleman; his sons, Maurice (Monice) Coleman, Octavius (Shanita) Coleman, and Antonio Rose; his stepdaughter, Charlene (Devin) Simpson; his stepson, Melvin Smith; his brother, Connell Coleman; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; nine step-grandchildren; twenty-three step-great-grandchildren; and one step-great-great-grandchild.
On Monday, March 31, 2025, Ulysses peacefully transitioned to eternal rest. His loving heart and unwavering devotion to family will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
