Ms. Toni Larue Sims was born on February 23, 1949, to the late George Woodruff, Sr. and the late Lizzie Gossett in Spartanburg, SC. Toni matriculated through the Spartanburg district seven school district and was a graduate of Carver High School. She loved flowers and gardening, and immensely loved dogs. Ms. Sims was known for her caring heart and she was willing to serve anyone she met. Her life's joy was to be a servant. She was a member of the New Prospect A.M.E Zion Church and attended the New Zion Baptist Church, both in Spartanburg, SC.

She leaves to cherish fond and loving memories to her daughter, Rosezina (Michael) Rhinehart of Spartanburg, SC; grandchildren, Tameka (Christopher) Grady, Tiffany Carpenter, Shante Rhinehart, and Latoria Simpson all of Spartanburg, SC; great-grandchildren Jativa Ferguson, Daekwon Carpenter Bishop, Johnathan Fair, Jr., Christopher Grady, Jr., Zavion Hillstock and Malieah Browning all of Spartanburg, SC; special nieces, Wanda Miller and Barbara Nesbitt both of Spartanburg, SC, Shirley Brown of Greenville, SC, Patricia Woodruff of Seattle, Washington, and Tina Moore of New York; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

She was preceded in death by brothers, George Woodruff, Jr. and John Woodruff, Sr. and sister, Mary Louise Moore.

On Friday, January 21, 2022, Toni transitioned peacefully. She no longer has to worry about the cares of this world. Her heart of service will live on throughout eternity.
