His Life’s Journey
Terrance Anthony Hollis, known as “Terry”, was born on March 22, 1969, to the late Gennelle Parks Hollis Cook and the late Loyce Hollis, III, in Spartanburg, SC. He was a 1987 graduate of Spartanburg High School. Terrance worked as a pest control technician and was self-employed as a vehicle detailer.
Terrance was very outgoing and liked by everyone; he never met a stranger. His level of integrity was astounding. He was a die-hard Dallas Cowboys fan and his favorite color was blue. His church affiliation was The United House of Prayer For All People.
He was predeceased, along with his parents, by an aunt, Annie Lou Simpson.
Those left to cherish his memory are a son, Terrance Leon McDowell of Inman, SC; grandchildren; Kiari Gennelle McDowell and Kealon Josiah McDowell; siblings, Andrea (Miller) Cunningham of Spartanburg, SC, Broderick Kelvin Hollis of Spartanburg, SC, Fredrick (Audril) Jones of Spartanburg, SC, Kim (Carlos) Westley of Spartanburg, SC, Cora Williams of Spartanburg, SC, Kenneth (Jackie) Fields, Sr. of Atlanta, GA, Anita (Andrew) Murray, Jr. of Dallas, TX and Wayne Fields of Spartanburg, SC; special friends, Brian Salters, Jermaine Wilkins, Reggie Rice, Terrance Rice, and Darryl Robinson; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
