Teresa Ann Byrd was born on March 11, 1973, to the late Nannie Mae Means Byrd and the late Billy Byrd in Spartanburg, SC. She was educated in the Spartanburg County schools.

Teresa was a loving and caring individual. She was very outspoken and loved to talk on the phone. Teresa enjoyed listening to gospel and slow jams. She attended Shekinah Glory AME Zion Church and Chestnut Ridge AME Zion Church.

Left to cherish her fond and loving memories include sons, Brandon ( Laina) Byrd of Greer, SC and Montell Byrd of Spartanburg, SC; daughter, Amy Byrd of Spartanburg, SC; brother, Roderick "Dee Dee" Byrd of Spartanburg, SC; sister, Keusta Rooks of Spartanburg, SC; grandchildren, Dvunte Meijia, Madison Meijia , Layla Meijia , Neveah Geter, Lidiya Byrd, and Leah Bryd; nephews, Roderick Byrd and Jamon Byrd; niece, Kimberly Clarke; friends, Dianne Brown, Charlene Martin, Vickie Wells, Linda Wells, Kim Porter, and Rhonda Harris; and a host of other relatives.

On Wednesday, January 15, 2025, Teresa transitioned at the Spartanburg Medical Center. She will be missed sorely by her family and friends.
