IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Susan Darlene
Middleton
March 21, 1959 – May 6, 2025
Susan Darlene Middleton, affectionately known as "Sue," was born on March 21, 1959, in Spartanburg, South Carolina, to the late Mae Helen Taylor Middleton and the late Boyce Lee Middleton, Sr. She received her education in the Spartanburg County school system.
Sue was a vibrant soul, known for being outspoken and unapologetically honest. She loved to have a good time and brought energy wherever she went. A meticulous homemaker, she took pride in cleaning and was celebrated for her exceptional cooking. She enjoyed watching television and her favorite shows included The First 48, Paternity Court, and anything that brought laughter. A devoted fan of gospel music, she especially loved the voice and ministry of Yolanda Adams.
A proud member of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church, Susan found joy in her faith, and her favorite color was purple.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her son Willie Middleton, and siblings Dorothy Middleton, Annie Sawyer, Boyce L. Middleton, Jr., Robert Middleton, and Douglas Middleton.
Left to cherish her memory are her loving children, Kiwana Middleton, Angelina Middleton, Shaneal Middleton, Sharon Middleton, and Randy Middleton, all of Spartanburg, SC; brother, Donald Middleton of Spartanburg, SC; sisters, Lillie R. Gertrude of Jersey City, NY and Bobbie J. Middleton of Spartanburg, SC; 22 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends.
On Tuesday, May 6, 2025, Susan transitioned peacefully at her home. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered for the love, laughter, and legacy she leaves behind.
