Stacy Collier Anderson was born in Orangeburg, South Carolina, on November 17, 1975, and peacefully passed away on February 3, 2025, in Spartanburg, South Carolina. Stacy was the beloved daughter of Delphine Collier of Spartanburg, SC and James (Joanne) Thomas of St. Matthews, SC.
Stacy attended the public schools of Calhoun County. Stacy also attended Job Corps. She became gainfully employed as a CNA, and she dedicated herself to caring for others, with compassion and empathy, until her health declined. She was a pillar of strength for her family and friends, always ready to lend a helping hand and offer words of wisdom.
Stacy was a faithful and devoted member of Vision of Faith in Spartanburg, SC under the leadership of Pastor Richard Williams. She loved the Lord with all her heart. She was not ashamed of the gospel and confessed the Lord with all her might.
She was preceded in death by her beloved cousin, Demond Benjamin; grandmother, Georgia "Mutter" Collier; and her son, Philip Randal Brunson.
Stacy leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness. She is survived by her three children, Dean Watson of the home , Za'kiya Allen, of Spartanburg, SC and Ahmad Allen of Los Angeles, CA; a beloved granddaughter, Taniya Allen, who was reared in the home; sisters, Yolanda Thomas, Latarsha Thomas, and Jamie Thomas, all of Orangeburg, SC; additional grandchildren, Malaysia Jones, Kaliyah Jones, Akeelah Jones, Mikiya Brunson, Khaleil Brunson, Anasti Brunson, Zariah Brunson, Joshua Dickson and Josiah Thurmond; two special aunts, Joan (William) Collier-Clyburn of Columbia, SC and Linda Y. Brunson of Orangeburg, SC; a father figure, Jesse Nance; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and associates.
