Ronald Donald Whiteside was born, on April 19, 1965, to Roy Douglas Whiteside and the late Ollie Bell Vernon Whiteside, in Tryon, NC. He was a graduate of Tryon High School in Tryon NC. He furthered his education at North Greenville University and received an Associate degree in Culinary Arts.
Ronald had a bubbly personality and was known as the "life of the party". He had a very caring and loving heart. He was a very stylish and flashy dresser. It's noted that if you ever confided in him, it stayed with him. Ronald was a jokester at heart and had an infectious laugh. He was an incredible chef who really enjoyed grilling. Ronald was a Philadelphia Eagles fan and often enjoyed smoking cigars. He was a proud member of the "Bug Club", a Volkswagen Car Club, and Superman was his favorite hero.
Ronald was preceded in death by his mother, Ollie Belle Vernon.
He leaves his love, legacy and memories to his companion of 24 years and wife for 14 years Requail Whiteside of the home; daughters, Ronjhane` Whiteside of Charlotte NC, Toni Ann (Ervin) Petty of Forest City, NC, Jessica (Dominic) Davis of Rutherfordton, NC, Eniqua Adams of Charlotte, NC, DeLisa Miller of Tryon, NC, and Jasmine Morrell of Pineville, NC; one son, Christopher Cole of Kings Mountain, NC; brother/bestfriend Mark (Caroline) Whiteside of Charlotte NC, sister, Sheila (Jerry) Gaston of Bessemer City, NC; aunts, Rita Blackmon, Annette Vernon, Polly Vernon, and Lisa Vernon; uncle, Earl Vernon; one granddaughter; five grandsons; special cousins, Taiwon (Erica) Vernon, Linda (Grady) Lockhart Margieann (Dorion) Byers and host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and special friends Frank, Ced, and Anthony of Charlotte, NC.
On the morning of Sunday, September 3, 2023, Ronald's full life came to a close. His vibrant, witty and infectious spirit will forever be remembered by all who loved and knew him.
