Robert David Wilkins was born, on October 3, 1952, to the late Margie Hallique Wilkins, in Spartanburg, SC. He was educated in Spartanburg County schools. Robert was extremely talkative and enjoyed fishing and watching Gunsmoke. He joined New Bedford Baptist Church at a young age. He was preceded in death, along with his mother, by wife, Debbie Wilkins; sister Deloris Scruggs; nieces, Beverly Threat and Ann Scruggs. Left to cherish his fond and loving memories are his sister, Diane Parks of Boiling Springs, SC; brother, Minister Joseph "JoJo" Wilkins of Boiling Springs, SC; daughter, Merinda Smith of Chesnee, SC; nephews, Dewayne Parks and Kevin Parks; and host of other relatives and friends On the morning of Tuesday, December 17, 2024, Robert transitioned at Golden Age Operations Home in Inman, SC. He will be sorely missed by all who loved and knew him.
