Mr. Robert Clyde Wallace was born, on September 20, 1952, to the late Bae Gibson and the late Doris Virginia Wallace, in Spartanburg SC. He was educated in the Spartanburg County Schools. Clyde was an avid New England Patriots fan.

Left to cherish fond and loving memories are his children, Robert Dewberry, Rosalind Wallace, Mareka (Toby Switzer) Crosby, Randy Crosby, Tiffany Crosby, and Shatara Gory, all of Spartanburg; his siblings, Deborah Wallace (Larry) Belk, Daisy Wardlaw, Donald Gibson, Dennis Gibson, Robin (Barry) Dendy, Cindy Grayson, Stephon Littlejohn, John Littlejohn, Shawn (Albert) Abrams, Tara Morman, Melody Woodruff, Michael (Tiffany) Coleman, Stephon Harris and Ashley Durham; his grandchildren, Robert Sweeney, Roya Dewberry, Robert Farrow, Brenden Farrow, Rossica Wallace, Lagary Manigan, Deon Burgess, Melakia Hill, Roderick Brown, Kentraviz Switzer, Breonni Gory, Douglas Smith, Jeremiah Gory, Jariah Gory, Lauren Gory, Azaria Crosby, Makayla Crosby, Mariah Crosby, and Randy Crosby; special sister, Doris Anne Walker Lyles; special brother, Randy Wallace; special friend, Mazella Edwards;  a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

On May 12, 2023, transitioned peacefully at the Spartanburg Regional Hospice House.
