Robert Lee Prysock was born, on May 30, 1954, to the late Bennie Prysock and the late Mattie Lee Long Prysock, in Spartanburg, SC. He was employed for many years in Spartanburg School  District Seven's janitorial services.

Robert was a very friendly person. He was extremely loquacious and had an infinity for cars.  He was noted for keeping a spotless vehicle. In his spare time, he enjoyed watching sports and his favorite color was red.

Robert was preceded in death, along with his parents, by his wife, Doretha Prysock; son, Reggie Gambrell; siblings, Mae Frances Murphy, Rosa Lee Wallace, Donald Prysock, James William Prysock and Joe Lewis Prysock.

Left to cherish his fond and loving memories are daughters, Sparkle Tinsley of Providence, RI and Jinaya Hoey of Gaffney, SC; son, Nathaniel L. Green of Spartanburg, SC; sisters, Marie Jackson of Pacolet, SC, Vennie Edmonds of Dillwyn, VA, and Willie Mae Mitchell of Spartanburg, SC; brothers, Bennie Prysock, Jr., Grant (Mae) Prysock, and Ronald Prysock all of Spartanburg, SC; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; special friends, Earl Porter, Wayne Henderson, and Robert McKissick; and host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and other friends.

On Friday, December 1, 2023 Robert's full life came to a close. His life will be forever cherished by his family and friends.
