Mr. Richard Lipscomb was born on December 16, 1944, to the late Mr. James Shippy and the late Miss Susie Mae Lipscomb in Spartanburg County. He was educated in the Spartanburg County school system. He was a member of the Cornerstone Baptist Church and was a part of the usher ministry.

He was preceded in death by two sons, Michael Lipscomb and Ricky Lipscomb.

Left to cherish his fond and loving memories are his daughters, Angel Lipscomb of Inman SC, Dedra Lipscomb of Atlanta, GA, and Lisa Lipscomb of Virginia; sons, Columbo Lipscomb of Travelers Rest, SC, Kaleb Mitchell of Pennsylvania, and Lionel Morgan of Gaffney SC; sister, Bonnie Warner of Washington, DC; aunt, Elouise Wentworth of High Point, NC; fifteen grandchildren; and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

On Saturday, February 26, 2022, Richard transitioned peacefully with his family by his side. He was ushered into the presence of the Lord, just like he ushered on the doors of Cornerstone Baptist Church. His loving presence will always be cherished and continue to bring joy to all those who loved him.
