IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Reverend Corine
(Edwards) Mabry
February 10, 1948 – December 3, 2024
Reverend Corine Edwards Mabry, affectionately known as "Co", was born, on February 10, 1948, to the late Rosa Lee Ferguson Edwards and the late Cruso Edwards, in Spartanburg, SC. She was educated in Spartanburg County schools and a graduate of Bethune High School. In her early years, Corine was a textile seamstress at Carver Industries and then continued her career in caregiving. She was a caregiver at heart and up to her last days still desired to provide service to those in need.
Minister Mabry was licensed to preach in 1990 at the Mt. Zion Baptist Church. She was a devout woman of prayer and loved God and his people. She was a member of Monks Grove Baptist Church and was a Sunday school teacher.
Corine possessed a no-nonsense disposition. Because of her enormous caring and giving heart, she was "Nana" to everyone. Her favorite color was purple and she was a Carolina Panthers Fan.
She was preceded in death, along with her parents, by her husband, Jonathan Mabry; and siblings, Henry Edwards, Robert Ewards, Margaret Ann Wilkins, and Linda Edwards.
She leaves her faith in God and her legacy to daughters, Kimberly (David) Jones of Spartanburg, SC and Leslie (Roderick) Mills of Boiling Springs, SC; son, Michael (Libby) Edwards of Spartanburg, SC; sisters, Marie (Leroy) Jenkins of Spartanburg, SC and Portia Johnson of Boiling Springs, SC; grandchildren, Jordan Wood, Jazmyne Edwards, Tiraney (Walsh) Powe, Bradleigh Mills, and Madden Mills; great-grandchildren, Walsh Powe and Roderick Powe; special friend, Minister Lillie Mae Jackson and Rose Jackson; and a host of other relatives and friends.
On the evening of Tuesday, December 3, 2024, Ministery Mabry transitioned from this world to be with her Savior Jesus Christ. Her life of service to others and God came to a close and she can be with Him forevermore. A life well lived and her journey on earth completed.
