Raymond Wood, Jr. was born on August 5, 1960, to the late Raymond Wood, Sr. and the late Blanch Louise Wood, in Inman, SC.  He received education in the Spartanburg County DistrictOne school system and graduated from Chapman High School.  He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and enjoyed watching western TV shows.  Raymond's favorite color was blue.

He leaves to cherish fond and loving memories to his son, Christopher Rashaud Crawford of Spartanburg, SC; sisters, Betty W. Darity of Asheville, NC, Angie W. Miller of Spartanburg, SC,and Sheila C. Wood of Inman, SC; brother, Randall (Valarie) Wood of Spartanburg, SC; aunts, Arizona Timball of Asheville,NC, Mary Jane Sams of Asheville, NC and Ethel Durham of Charlotte, NC; uncle, Ezell Copeland of Asheville, NC; grandchildren, Nakia Wilkins, Kazia Crawford Mr and Jariah Smith; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Raymond was preceded in death, along with his parents, by a sister Rhonda Wood.

On Monday, August 1, 2022, Raymond Wood, Jr. transitioned peacefully. His kind and generous spirit will forever echo in the hearts of all who knew him.
