Prophet Eric Angelo Lucas was born on March 13, 1962, to the late William Arthur Lucas and the late Hester Thompson Lucas. He was the eighth born of eleven siblings. Eric attended the Toledo Public Schools of Toledo, Ohio. He accepted Jesus Christ at a very young age. He grew to be an extraordinary man and lived an extraordinary life. Although challenged with medical and mental health difficulties at birth, Eric was diagnosed with mental intellectual disabilities. According to educational intellectual assessments, evaluations suggested he would be incapable of normal intellectual progressions, and learning to read and comprehend would be impossible for him. "But God"!... All glory to God, who imparted unto him the gifted ability to read discerning the word of God and being a benefit unto His church. To know Eric is to witness a miracle of God. He will be remembered as an authoritative revealer of the word of God; one who divinely inspired revelations confirmed by the word of God in submission to God's Holy Spirit. In the likeness of Elijah, Eric was "the stranger among strangers, yet loved by some!" Jesus said, "A prophet is not without honor, but in his own country." (Mark 4:6) God's ability did sustain him, God's power did retain him. Now, heaven will claim him and we will see him again after a while.

Eric attended culinary school in Columbus, Ohio and received a certificate.

He leaves to cherish fond and loving memories to his brothers, Paul J. (Rachael) Lucas of Toledo Ohio and Joseph (Maria) Lucas of Phoenix City, AL; stepbrother, Broderick Randle of Toledo Ohio; sisters, Jovita (Herbert) Lucas, Angela Lucas, and Colia (Elder Eugene, Sr.) Harris all of Toledo Ohio, and Jarvia (Elder Berkly, Sr.) Walker of Orlando, FL; special family friends, Apostle Harold & Prophetess Marcella Bailey of Spartanburg, SC; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Harriet Lucas; father, William Arthur Lucas; mother, Hester (Thompson) Lucas; sister, Sanita Perry; and brothers, William Arthur, Jr., Christopher Lucas and David Lucas.
