Paula V. Wiggs, born July 22, 1956, transitioned from this life on January 24, 2022. She was the daughter of George A. Wiggs, Sr. and Priscilla Wiggs and was one of four children of the union. She is preceded in death by both parents and a host of extended family. Paula received her education in the New York City public school system and was also a graduate of Ithaca College, the University of Pennsylvania, and Columbia University. After completing her education, she devoted her career to the practice of social work for over 40 years. Her passion was helping disadvantaged families and troubled youth. She was a loving and devoted mother, sister, friend, and community leader.

Paula leaves her loving memory in the heart of her only child, Zaharah Wiggs; her siblings, George Wiggs, Gathenia Wiggs and Arthur Wiggs; a host of extended family and friends; and all of the families that she impacted throughout her career.

Paula was known for her persistence, dependability, caring spirit, and desire to improve the lives of those in her care. Like her mother, Paula displayed tremendous strength throughout her life, and even in death, we know that she is more than a conqueror. Even though she will be greatly missed, her memory will continue to live on in the lives of those she touched.
