IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Pastor L.
Roosevelt Fowler
August 20, 1944 – December 11, 2024
Elder L. Roosevelt (Ro) Fowler was born on August 20, 1944, to the late Nazaree Staggs Fowler and the late William Kennedy Fowler, in Spartanburg County, SC. He was educated in the schools of Spartanburg County and a 1963 graduate of Lincoln High School. He spent many years working for Metromont Corporation, working many positions, but retired as a truck driver.
Elder Fowler was a devoted husband for 58 blissful years to his late wife, Mother Betty Fowler. He was a doting father and grandfather who loved spending time with each member of his family. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was described as a "Jack of all trades" and could fix anything.
He was a devoted man of prayer and the founding pastor of Unity Bible Way Church, alongside his wife. Elder Fowler was humble, a man after God's own heart and followed God's direction in leading and shepherding his flock. He was also a member of the Palmetto State Diocese of International Bible Way Church of Jesus Christ. He was a musician, great singer and loved using his voice to lead others into the presence of God.
He was preceded in death, along with his parents and wife, by siblings, Virgil Fowler, Sr. and Nora E. Fowler and sister-in-law's, Lillie Fowler and Ernestine Quarles.
