IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Norman Thaddeus
Pitts, Jr. Higgins
August 26, 1979 – April 30, 2025
Norman Thaddeus Pitts, Jr. Higgins, affectionately known as "Tiny" and "Unc," was born on August 26, 1979, to Bobbie Ann Higgins and Norman T. Pitts in Spartanburg, South Carolina. He was educated in the Spartanburg County School System.
Norman possessed a "happy-go-lucky" demeanor and never met a stranger. He was described as a true character and could always make you laugh. He was extremely loving and never had a problem admitting his wrongs and offering sincere apologies. Anywhere he went, he made that place his home. He also loved to rap, and his favorite NFL team was the Atlanta Falcons. In 2004, he was baptized at Greater New Zion Baptist Church. During family dinners, he was known for zipping in quickly and disappearing just as fast.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Georgia Mae Wardlaw and Tom Rice; paternal grandparents, Norma Sue Pitts and Henry Pitts; great-aunt, Annie Turner; great-uncle, Bobby J. Tanner; aunt, Jacqueline T. Robinson; and uncle, Richard Hines.
