Obituary

Mincie Murphy was born on April 13th, 1947, to Robert James Mosley and Aileen Ophelia Mosley. She was educated in the Spartanburg public school system and was a proud graduate of Carver High. She was also a proud graduate of Friendship University of Rock Hill. Mincie was a long time employee of Walmart of Spartanburg where she retired after over 20 years of service.

Mincie Murphy was joined in Holy matrimony to the love of her life, Mikel Murphy, on November the 6th, 1981. He remained by her side till the day her earthly journey ended.

She had a beautiful, infectious smile that would light up a room. She was an avid supporter of all of her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

She was a member of Greater Bible Tabernacle Miracle Temple for over thirty years. She served on several different auxiliaries and held many different positions within the church such as; Deaconess, Vice-President of Security, and Member of the Usher Board.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Aileen Mosley; father, Robert Mosley; and niece, Adrian Upton.

She leaves her love and memories to her loving a husband, Mikel Murphy of the home; daughters, Cassandra (Sammie) Bates of Spartanburg, Tammie (Travis) Thomas of Roebuck, and Tina Thompson of Spartanburg; son, Tony (Tiffany) Thompson of Spartanburg; sisters, Gladys (David) Lewis of White Stone, Kathy (Rick) Vance of Wellford; brother, James (Vivian) Mosley of Roebuck; 12 grandchildren;14 great- grandchildren; and a host of nieces nephews, other relatives and friends.
