Michael Moultrie, affectionately known as "Mike", was born on June 30, 1949, to the late Artie L. Moultrie, Jr. and the late Helen Bogan Moultrie, in Spartanburg, SC. He was educated in Spartanburg County schools. Mike worked many years at Bob's Car Wash.

He had a very quiet disposition and enjoyed riding his bicycle, fishing, and watching westerns. He was partial to all types of music and the color blue. Michael was a San Franciso 49ers fan.

Michael was preceded in death, along with his parents, by a daughter, Angela Lee and siblings, Robert Lee Moultrie and Norman Moultrie.

He leaves behind a daughter, Tonna Lee of Greenwood, SC; brothers, Joe L. (Edith)Moultrie of  Anderson, SC; sisters, Mary (Willie) Harris of Spartanburg, SC, Brenda (Robert) Kearns of Spartanburg, SC, and Nancy Moultrie of Rutherfordton, NC; aunts, Shirley Moss of Spartanburg, SC, Betty Meadows of Brooklyn, NY, Julia Peake of Spartanburg, SC and Barbara Dawkins of Spartanburg, SC; uncle, Johnny (Lena) Bogan of Spartanburg, SC; grandchildren, Darnasia Duncan, Tavannah Beam, and Christianna Cloud all of Greenwood, SC; special cousin, Willie Mae Cathcart; and host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

On the morning of Tuesday, September 24, 2024, Michael transitioned peacefully at the Spartanburg Medical Center.
