Mary Francis Norris, affectionately known as "Sissie Gal", was born on July 5, 1939, to the late Lola C. and the late Carnie Norris.

Mary joined Metropolitan AME Zion Church at a young age and remained a lifelong member.  She loved working in and for the church.

She attended Spartanburg County public schools and was a Class of 1958 graduate of Carver High School.

Mary was preceded in death, along with her parents, by one brother, Sgt. Charles B. Norris.

Mary is survived by two brothers, Carnie Norris, Jr. of Spartanburg, SC and Bobby Norris of Gray Court, SC; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

At the age of 86, Mary entered into eternal rest on Friday, August 8, 2025.
