Mary Jane Lattimore James, 69, of Inman, S.C., entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, September 5, 2023, from a brief illness. She was the daughter of the late Joseph" Joe" Lattimore and Mary Ruth Turner Lattimore.
She attended Chesnee High School. She worked at Contec Corporation for 17 years.
Mary was a Christian woman who loved God and spent time reading and studying His word. She was a woman of God that was also a committed member of New Faith Baptist Church. She loved her job and her coworkers, that she worked with also. Mary also enjoyed watching her Lifetime movies and favorite Starz shows.
She was preceded in death by her parents Joseph "Joe" Lattimore and Mary Ruth Turner; nephew, Ray Anthony Colbert; nieces, Christine Wright, and Lisa Renee Stith; and great nephew, Corey Terrell Lattimore.
She leaves to cherish her memories one daughter, Benikie L. Lattimore of Inman, SC; one son Jeffrey S. Vasquez of Duncan, SC; one granddaughter, Azaria Lattimore-Greene of Inman, SC; two grandsons, De'onte K. Jones of Spartanburg and Elijah S. Vasquez of Duncan, SC; one great-grandaughter, Jordan Noelle Jones of Spartanburg, SC; seven sisters, Pearlie (Caesar) Clay of Bogata, NJ, Cynthia Lattimore of River Edge, NJ, Fannie Stith, Ruth Lattimore, Dorinda Lattimore, Lisa Lattimore and Annette Lattimore all of Spartanburg, SC; three brothers, Marvin (Iren) Lattimore, Gary (Bobbie) Lattimore, and Casey Lattimore all of Spartanburg, SC; one aunt, Isabelle Fowler of Spartanburg, SC; one uncle, James W. Turner of Jacksonville, FL; cousin, Etta Mae Colbert of Chesnee, SC; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She also leaves behind her dearest special friend, Rhonda Fowler. She enjoyed their friendship of calls, and checking up her and being there whenever she needed her for whatever. She always loved Rhonda for being a good person.
Also, to my special friend, you know who you are; you will always have a special place in my heart.
