Marvin Holmes was born, on November 9, 1964, to Eva Mae Holmes and the late Willie Holmes, in Spartanburg, SC. He was a 1983 graduate of Paul M. Dorman High School. He furthered his education at Spartanburg Technical College and earned an Associate Degree in Marketing and Management. He committed and served for over 20 years as the Subject Matter Expert in Product Inspection at Siemens, in Roebuck, SC. Marvin was well-known for having a heart of gold and was always willing to lend a helping hand. His hobbies included researching wildlife, animals, history and watching the Pittsburgh Steelers.  He was also enamored with computers and enjoyed motorcycles. He leaves a lifetime of love and memories to his loving mother, Eva Mae Holmes of Spartanburg, SC; brothers, Michael Holmes and Rodney Holmes of Spartanburg, SC; niece, Rodmesha Gory; nephew, Marqavious Gory; aunts, Frances Lee Casey of Pauline, SC, Willie Casey Jeter of Spartanburg, SC and Brenda Casey (Jerome) Briggs of Woodruff, SC; uncle, Willie Levi (Dee Dee) Casey, Jr. of Portland, OR, Terry (Jacqueline) Casey of Fountain Inn, SC, and Jackie (Dianna) Casey of Norfolk, VA; a host of God-fearing cousins; and long time best friends and confidants, Joey Washington and Leonelle Berry Bishop. On Monday, January 15, 2024, Marvin transitioned peacefully at his home. His legacy of genuine love and support for others will continue.
