Born on April 10, 1948, in Gaffney, SC, Margaret was the daughter of the late Margaret Louise Dawkins Norris and the late Eugene Norris. She spent most of her life in Spartanburg, SC, where she built a home filled with love, warmth, and kindness.

Margaret dedicated her life to caring for those she loved, always leading with compassion, wisdom, and an open heart. A devoted mother, she raised four sons, along with a granddaughter and a grandson reared in the home, all of whom were blessed by her presence, guidance, and boundless affection. She was a loving soul who never left anyone's presence without saying, "I love you," even to strangers. Her favorite color was green, a fitting reflection of her nurturing spirit and love for life.

A woman of deep faith, Margaret faced life's joys and challenges with grace, never wavering in her belief in God's plan. She was a devoted member of New Faith International Church. Whether through her warm embrace, words of encouragement, or the love she poured into every meal she prepared, she left an unforgettable mark on all who had the privilege of knowing her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband, James Harold Boyd, and her grandson, Nathaniel Boyd, who was reared in the home.

Left to cherish her loving memory and legacy are her sons, Harold (McKessia) Boyd of Spartanburg, SC, Clifford "Cliff" Boyd of Boiling Springs, SC, Raymond (Marsha) Boyd of Spartanburg, SC, and Nathaniel Boyd of Spartanburg, SC; her sister, Christine Hardy; her grandchildren, Marcus (Erica) Dawkins Spartanburg, SC  and Demetria McCullough, who was reared in the home, Alexis Benson Boyd, Brittany Boyd, Brianna Boyd Marcus Boyd McKissick, Emmanuel Boyd, Faith Boyd, and  Kayla Boyd Lindsay; nine great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends.

With hearts full of love and gratitude, we celebrate the beautiful life of Margaret Louise Boyd, who at 76 years old, was called home to be with the Lord. A woman of grace, strength, and unwavering faith, she was the foundation of her family and a light to all who knew her.
