Lucille Jackson was born March 4, 1958 in Columbus, North Carolina to the late Mr. Howard Smith and the late Ms. Lula M. Thompson.  She was educated in the Polk County school system.  Mrs. Jackson was formerly employed at Brannon's Restaurant.

She leaves to cherish her fond and loving memories to  daughters, Christina (Stacy) Thompson, Wanda (Kodi) Thompson, and Keshia Jackson; step sons, William (Patricia) Jackson, Randy Jackson, and Terry Jackson; sisters, Mary Miller, Beverly (John Thomas) Miller, and Laura (Fred) Edwards; brothers, Alfred (Mary) Thompson, Jerry Thompson, Kenneth Thompson, Howard (Katina) Thompson, and Joe Smith;  an aunt Ernestine Smith; an uncle James Thompson;  twenty grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband William "Bill" Jackson; two sisters, Ida Marie Thompson and Vera Lousie Smith.

She folded her earthly tent and bid the world goodbye on June 3, 2021.  Her memories will be forever kept in the hearts of her many family members and friends.
