Mr. Lorenzo "Pee Wee" Maybin was born on March 27, 1961, to the late Junior Percell Maybin and the late Sadie Mae Miller.  He was born in Fort Myers, FL, and moved to Spartanburg, SC as a child.  Lorenzo attended Spartanburg County schools.  For many years, he was employed as a general laborer in the construction industry.  He was a gifted artist who loved to draw.  When Lorenzo wasn't working or drawing, he could be found cheering on one of his two favorite teams, the collegiate football team USC Trojan's or the NFL's Pittsburgh Steelers.

Lorenzo leaves to cherish his memories one daughter, Tamara Gist of Spartanburg, SC; one sister, Teretha M. Denton of Spartanburg, SC; two aunts, Mildred Wallace of Spartanburg, SC and Ida Miller of Roebuck, SC; and a host of other family and friends.

He was also preceded in death by a sister, Priscilla Mae Maybin and a brother, Larry Percell Maybin, Sr.

God called Lorenzo to his heavenly home on August 7, 2021, where he will use his artistic gift for our savior.
