The ever-presence of love brings us here today to both celebrate and give thanks for the life journey and lasting deeds of Mr. Lazarus Michael Douglas.  He was born to the Mrs. Zita Francis Douglas and Mr. WinstonDouglas on December 17, 1951, in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago. He went to school there until the age of 17, when he moved to Brooklyn, NY.  "Laz", as he was identified by most of his family and friends, attended welding school and was employed as a Certified Welder for over 30 years.

After meeting and marrying Agnes Wright, the love of his life, they later relocated to North Carolina and then to South Carolina.

Left to cherish memories along with his wife are two sons, Michael Hunteand Quendell (Candis) Jenkins; six daughters, Lakisha (Robert Roberson)Douglas, Natasha (Clifton) Ashley, Michelle Williams, Charlene(Jermaine) Jenkins, and Alicia Douglas; honorary daughter, Trisha Lawrence; fifteen grandchildren; three brothers, Winston Douglas, Joseph Douglas, Kenneth Douglas; four sisters, Inize Sangster, Michelle Douglas, Wendy Douglas and Cynthia Brown; two brothers-in-law, Eddie Wright, Gregory (Sandra) Wright; three sisters-in-law, Barbara Scott, Lillian (Richard) Scott, Stevetta Scott; a mother-in-law, Annie Wright; and a host of other relatives and friends.

He is predeceased by his parents Zita and Winston Douglas; two sisters, Lucille Sangster and Patricia Lawrence; two brothers-in-law, Charles Scott and Donald Scott; a niece, Jamella Douglas, and a nephew Sheldon Brown.

After fighting cancer for 12 years, Lazarus' fight ended on May 28, 2021. He is now resting in everlasting peace with a loving and merciful God.  Amen.
