Mr. Larry Dean Lipscomb was born on August 14, 1956, to the late Maggie Shippy Lipscomb and the late Odean Lipscomb, in Spartanburg, SC.
Larry was a graduate of Pacolet High School. He served in the US Army and received an Honorable Discharge in 2001. His favorite colors were red, black and white. He worked as a Barber Stylist and was also a registered Boxer, under the leadership of Don White. Larry's favorite past-time was listening to old-school music and the1970's hits. He also loved to dance. Larry loved God and spoke of Him often.
Left to cherish loving memories are his wife, Candida Clark Lipscomb of the home; daughters, Ursula (Emmanuel) Watson of Pacolet, SC and Jessica Lipscomb of Pacolet, SC; step-daughters, Brittany Clark of Spartanburg, SC, Breanna Clark of Spartanburg, SC and Keona Clark of Spartanburg, SC; sister, Diana (Charles) Hamer of Spartanburg, SC; brother, Cassius Clayton (Crystal) Lipscomb of Spartanburg, SC; grandchildren, Christian Watson, K'Marian McRae, Kwama McRae, and Rejonnea Ferguson; nieces, Kimberly Lee, Tameria Lipscomb, Lexus Lipscomb, Zasha Williams and Lakeisha Wannamaker; nephews, Robert (Ashley) Lee, III, Aaron Crawford, Kevin Wannamaker, C. J. Lipscomb, and Isiah Lipscomb; great-niece, Chloe Logan Lee; great-nephew, Kevin Brandon; aunt, Margaret Bodden of Florence, SC; uncles, James Walter Lipscomb of Baltimore, MD and Calvin Lipscomb of Brooklyn, NY; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Those predeceased, along with his mother and father, are brothers, Gary Curtis Lipscomb, Leslie Wannamaker and Ronnie Wannamaker; and uncles, Bezon Lipscomb, Otis Lipscomb and Mervin Bodden.
On October 20, 2022, Larry exited the boxing ring of life victoriously. He will be greatly missed by those who loved and knew him.
