IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Larry
Jackson
June 18, 1953 – November 2, 2025
Larry Jackson, beloved father, brother, and friend, passed away on November 2, 2025 leaving a void his family cannot fill.
He was born on June 18, 1953 to Otis Jackson and Annie Leila Durrah Jackson. He was born in Campobello S.C. and raised in Wellford, S.C.
Larry made his career as a seasoned truck driver. From concrete pourers to long-distance load-carrying- if it has wheels he could and probably already has driven it.
Larry was a beloved father to three children. He was a devoted grandfather who played a major role in his grandchildren's lives. He provided love, support, and correction when needed. Larry was dedicated to his family and was only ever a phone call away when needed.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Linda Bennon, and his cousin Ed Waddell.
He leaves to cherish his memory his daughter, Felicia Jackson (whom he affectionately called "Kit"), his sons Christopher "Junior" Jackson and Tavares Ballenger; his brothers, Tony Jackson and Douglas Jackson; his sister Paulette Jackson; and 12 grandchildren. He is also survived by a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, his good friend, Patrick Thompson and other fellow drivers at Benore Logistics, where he worked for over 15 years.
He took pride in his vehicles, always keeping them sharp and pristine. Each vehicle had a name, and he lovingly detailed them all. He was always well-dressed, especially when he wore his signature hat and cowboy boots.
Larry is well-loved by all who knew him. His stern face was quick to break into an easy smile as he told a joke, funny story, or talked junk. As he frequently reminded us, if we thought he was cutting up too much, it wasn't really him, but his evil twin Lenny.
