Kirston Latasha Epps was born, on September 30, 1978, to Gwendolyn Anita Epps Harris and Roger L. Brewton, in Spartanburg, SC. She was educated in the Spartanburg County schools and graduated from Spartanburg High School. Kirston continued her education at Virginia College receiving a bachelor's degree in computer network engineering. Kirston was employed at Amazon in the operations department.

Kirston was a ball of fire and was curt. She was extremely intelligent and loyal. Kirston had a huge heart and loved hard. She was a protector and always put family first. Her favorite color was purple and she was a member of the United House of Prayer for All People Spartanburg.

Brewton all of Spartanburg, SC; children, Malik (Hadleigh) Brent of Tucson, AZ, Jasmine Brent of the home and Roderick Williams of Spartanburg, SC; siblings, Jonathan (Jade) Harris of Washington, DC and Ronnita (Douglas) Harris of Spartanburg, SC; grandmothers, Betty Fields and Geraldine Brewton; aunts, Bonita (Dewayne) Jackson, Teresa Cole, Rosemary Brewton, and Cathleen Thompson all Spartanburg, SC; grandchildren, Ezekial Brent and Elaina Brent (on the way); and host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

On Sunday, June 23, 2023, Kirston transitioned peacefully at the Emory St. Joseph's Hospital in Atlanta GA. She will be sorely missed by her family and friends
