Keicha Gist was born on March 6, 1971, to the late Bennie Gist and the Late Rose Gist, in Mineola, New York. She matriculated in the Spartanburg County school system and received a diploma. Keicha was a proud member of the Foster Chapel Baptist Church of Roebuck, SC. She was extremely proud of her relationship with God. She had an effervescent, bubbly, and loving personality; her mere presence would light up a room. She never met a stranger and loved her family, especially her twin sister. She enjoyed singing and her favorite movie was the Wizard of Oz.

She leaves to cherish her fond and loving memories to her sisters, Pamela (Randy) Meadows of the home, Aneta (Thomas) Hargrove and Kenya (her twin) Gist both of Spartanburg, SC; brothers, Danny (Deborah) Gist of Bay Shore, NY, and Mark Alan Gist of Spartanburg, SC; uncle, Willie Deshields of Philadelphia, PA; a host of cousins, other relatives, and friends.

On Saturday, March 19, 2022, Keicha, like Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz, clicked her heels together and declared there is no place like home. Keicha is now in her heavenly home with the Lord whom she loved so much. Her physical presence will be missed but her beautiful spirit will live on.
