Obituary

Julia Moore Cohen was born on October 9, 1944, to the late A. B. Moore and Bertha Sims Moore in Spartanburg County.  She was a 1962 graduate of Foster Grove High School.  She was a food service manager for Spartanburg County for many years. Julia loved drinking Pepsi, playing spades, cooking, and watching soap operas.  Her favorite color was green, and she had a vivacious spirit.  She was of the Baptist Faith.

She leaves to cherish fond and loving memories to daughter, Joekeitha  Reddish of the home; stepdaughter, Deborah Rickett of Spartanburg, SC; sons,  Michael Kelley of the home, Marlon Nesbitt and Lajuana Nesbitt of Spartanburg, SC; stepson, Kenneth Cohen of Spartanburg, SC; sister, Maggie Butler of Una, SC;  goddaughter Lynn Moore of Spartanburg, SC; brothers, Johnny Moore and Willie Moore of Spartanburg, SC; seven sisters-in-law, three brothers-in-law, and host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by sons, Raymond Kelley and Otis Kelley; brothers, Harold Moore and Marshall Moore; and sister, Glorist Foster.

On Wednesday, August 17, 2022, Julian, surrounded by family, entered eternal rest. Her loving spirit will be a beacon of light forever to all who loved and knew her.
