Mr. Johnnie Lee Pearson was born on July 31, 1959, to the late Flozenia Pearson and the late Benjamin Briggs, in Spartanburg, SC. He was educated in Spartanburg County school district seven. Johnnie was very comical and known as the "Life of the Party".  Johnnie was known for his outlandish dancing. He previously worked in several textile mills across the county. Johnnie was an avid Dallas Cowboys football fan.

He was preceded in death along with his parents by a brother Roy Pearson.

He leaves to cherish fond and loving memories to his wife, Janice Wade Pearson; sons, Adrian (Eboni) Pearson of Spartanburg, SC, Tilo Pearson of Spartanburg, SC, Shamous Pearson of Spartanburg, SC, Steve (Michelle) Woodruff of Atlanta GA, and Kevin Woodruff of Spartanburg, SC; sisters, Frances Peoples of Spartanburg, SC, and Shirley (Reggie) Littlejohn of Spartanburg, SC; brother, James (Rebecca) Pearson of Laurens, SC; aunt, Minnie Lee Moring of Spartanburg, SC; ten grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephew, cousins, and other family members and friends.

Johnnie transitioned peacefully on Saturday, January 28, 2023, at the Spartanburg Regional Hospice House. His comical spirit will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him.
