Mr. John Otha Tubbs, known to most as "Johnny", was born on August 16, 1950, to the late Eula Brand-Nix in Marion, Alabama.  He attended schools in Marion County and graduated from Lincoln High School.  John was employed as a driver with Atchison Transportation.

John served in the US Army from 1970 to 1972 and received an Honorable discharge.  While serving, he received the National Defense Service Medal, Marksman (M-14 and M-16).   He was partial to red and getting a new suit would always guarantee a smile.

Left to cherish loving memories is a daughter, Shawana Tubbs of Spartanburg, SC; three grandchildren, Shamarion Tubbs, Shamaia Tubbs and Sherron Johnson, Jr., all of Spartanburg, SC; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Those predeceased, including his mother, are two aunts, Mable Brand Robinson and Maggie Mae Hobson; a nephew, Vincent Slater and a brother, Ray Eshmon Brand.

Our heavenly Father called John to reside in his heavenly home on Thursday, August 26, 2021.
