John Thomas Miller, affectionately known as "Tommy", was born on March 28, 946, to the late James Eugene Miller and the late Zoary Patsie Crawford Miller, in Polk County, NC. He was educated in the Spartanburg County school system.
John was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He enjoyed watching country westerns and his favor NFL football team was the Carolina Panthers. In his free time, he enjoyed doing yard work. John was of the Baptist faith.
John was preceded in death, along with his parents, by children, Sandra Jones, Bobby Jones, and Nathaniel Jones; siblings, Lilly Miller, Patsy Miller, Phyllis Miller, Clara Miller, Andrew Miller, and Juddy Miller.
John leaves fond and loving memories to his wife, Beverly Ann Thompson Miller of the home; sons, Terry Miller, Anthony Thompson, Terry Smith, and Deangelo Miller all of Spartanburg, SC; daughters, Manisha Miller of Duncan, SC, Latasha (Marquis Bryant) Miller of Spartanburg, SC, Debbie Miller of Boiling Springs, SC, Charlette Miller of Wellford, SC, Charlene Miller of Boiling Springs, SC, Jackie Miller of Wellford, SC, Linda Jones of Spartanburg, SC, Sharon Hall of Spartanburg, SC and Deanna Petty of Spartanburg, SC; brothers, James Miller of Spartanburg, SC, Napoleon Miller of Campobello, SC and Loyd Samuel Miller of Campobello, SC; sisters, Carolyn Drummond of Campobello, SC, Gladys Miller of Campobello, SC, and Glenda (Douglas) Lyles of Inman, SC; reared in the home, Robert Smith and Wanda Gail Thompson; best friend, Jerome Player; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
On the evening of Saturday, October 28, 2023, John transitioned peacefully at the Spartanburg Medical Center. His life will always be treasured and remembered by his family and friends.
